Hypochlorous Acid (HOCI)
What is Hypochlorous Acid (HOCI)
“Any quotes? Spend some time thinking and make it memorable”
HOCl is the scientific formula for hypochlorous acid, a weak acid similar to that of a mild citrus juice. When salt water is electrolyzed, it produces an anolyte solution that consists of >99.3% water, chloride salt and Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl).
Hypochlorous Acid is a naturally occurring chemical that is produced by our neutrophils, or white blood cells, to fight bacteria and inflammation after an infection or trauma.
HOCl is a powerful oxidant that is effective against invading bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) is both non toxic to the delicate cells that can heal our wounds while being lethal to almost all known dangerous bacteria and viruses that threaten our health.
HOCl is easily biodegradable and environmentally friendly hence it is commonly used in healthcare, food safety, water treatment, and general waste water sanitation.
